CMS Lion Dance team at Bendigo Easter Festival 2021
In 2021, the CMS Lion Dance team were invited by the Bendigo Chinese Association (BCA) to perform at the Bendigo Easter Fair. Having had the 2020 event cancelled due to COVID, the team were ecstatic to be given the opportunity to perform in Bendigo, alongside BCA and CYSM (Chinese Youth Society of Melbourne).
Despite COVID’s lingering impact on public performances, the Bendigo Chinese Associate did a marvellous job hosting an Easter weekend of fun festivities. The ‘alternative’ program this year involved live performances being held in the Ulumbarra Theatre.
The experience of performing in a professionally managed stage was simply amazing for all CMS team members.
